We united 2D and 3D animation to break down the benefits of the Lenovo ThinkSmart Manager platform. The results? A super slick video for IT pros, and a Telly Award for our trophy case.

The Challenge
Nothing kills the vibe of a meeting like an IT issue. Fortunately, the Lenovo ThinkSmart Manager lets IT pros see how all their meeting room devices are functioning, all in one platform. We were challenged to create an animated explainer video that speaks directly to IT professionals—a hard-working, no-nonsense bunch—in a way that still captures Lenovo’s energetic, ambitious brand identity.
The Solution
When it came to scripting, we really needed to speak the IT professionals’ language. We visited Lenovo’s offices and had some very productive work sessions with their staff, where we were able to learn more about IT pros and the pain points they deal with everyday. We then used colorful 2D and 3D animated shapes and elements to express freedom, speed and flexibility—the ThinkSmart Manager’s most basic elements. The result was an eye-catching video that blended professionalism and personality, which also won a 2020 Silver Telly Award in the animation craft category of “Online Commercials – Fully Animated Piece.”
