Three years ago, Demo Duck began in the suburbian Oak Park bedroom of our founder, Andrew Follett.
When the company doubled a year later, aka added Stephan, they moved all the way… next door. As more ducks continued to join the ranks, desks were carted a few blocks further. Now 5 of us have landed in our new home in the West Loop of Chicago.
Our new office offers us a bit more space to spread our little duck wings and paddle the pond. Our creativity really flourishes here, we can feel it in the air. And not having to share desk space with each other isn’t too bad either.
We’ve been a part of the Chicago creative community for a while now, but being in Oak Park kind of put us “out of the loop,” literally (hah!). We’re loving our neighborhood’s restaurants and eateries, and can’t get enough of the skyline view.
Another great perk of the move was the opportunity to join up with some of our favorite friends and creative partners. We’ve moved in with two other creative companies, so the fun never ends over here.
If we’re honest, our duck collection was what was really outgrowing our last space and they demanded more room. So we had to oblige. They also wanted a foosball table. Hey, gotta keep those ducks happy!
The past 3 years have been some of the best, and we’re excited to begin this new chapter and we can’t wait to see what’s coming ahead.
If you’re ever in the area, please stop in to say hello! We’d love to show you around.
