The Challenge
Midwestern Pet Foods came to us with a brand new dog-food that no one, and no dog, had seen before. UNREFINED is a heart-healthy line of pet food formulated without heavily-scrutinized ingredients that tend to worry pet parents. They tasked us with creating three product videos that could tell their product story to folks ranging from retailers at trade shows to pet owners on Instagram. We needed to cement this new brand in the minds of their audience with an explainer video that was just as fun as the dogs we’d be featuring.
The Solution
Our concept was about feeding the unrefined side of your dog. Even though producing an animated video would’ve involved less slobber, we knew these video ads needed real dogs acting real crazy. And to give our client partner the most bang for their buck, we developed a concept that would let us create three video ads with a single, unifying style and production. We developed a full, two minute explainer video for retailers that was then easily pared down to shorter digital video ads for consumers on social media.
