What is an Animated Explainer Video?

An explainer video is typically a short video that simplifies complex ideas using animation. It could be a video explaining a business, a product or a service. It could even explain an abstract idea. There are seemingly endless uses for an explainer video, and studies have shown that using video is more effective than traditional methods, like static text or images.

How long is a typical animated explainer video? Well, our recommendation is to keep it under 2 minutes. While some will say the shorter the better, that's not always the case. Whether it's 60 seconds, 90 seconds, or something in between, the video should be as long, or short, as needed given the content you're looking to cover.

Demo Duck got it's start as an animated explainer video company but we now help clients produce any type of video content that their business needs.

You can see a selection of the explainer video we’ve created on our samples page, including the explainer video we created above.
