Selecting the Right Voiceover for Your Video

When it comes to selecting a voice talent for your video, it’s important to get it right. People often ask us who our best voice talent is or the type of VO – male or female – that gets the best results. But we’ve found that the most important aspect to getting the voiceover right, is just finding the right voice for you and your company. There is no one size fits all voice – it’s all about finding the right tone to match your company and brand.

And once you decide on the voice be sure to remember that the tone of the narration can greatly affect the emotion it evokes from the audience. Take a look at these three clips and notice how much a different style of reading evokes 3 completely different brand perceptions.

Excited: Are you tired of always having to wait in line? Well wait no more. Introducing WeWait, the app that gets people to wait in line for you.

Dramatic: Are you tired of always having to wait in line? Well wait no more. Introducing WeWait, the app that gets people to wait in line for you.

Neutral: Are you tired of always having to wait in line? Well wait no more. Introducing WeWait, the app that gets people to wait in line for you.

Male or female, dramatic or light-hearted, make sure to take your time in choosing the voice that you’re the most happy with. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for a few takes to make sure that it’s exactly what you want. After all, for your viewer’s this will be the voice of your organization so make sure it’s saying, both in content and tone, exactly what you want.
